As a jeweller I enjoy the idea that I’m creating something new and unique whilst using ancient techniques passed down by generations of hands.of identity. Conversely my abstract work is inspired by places I have visited and offers freedom from the ‘loaded’ images prescribed by the media.
I have always taken inspiration for my work from nature. To me there is nothing more beautiful or fascinating. My current work grew not only from this love, but also a respect for it. I re-use beads and silver and re-cycle drinks cans, paper and plastic in order to create work which mixes those age-old practices with abundant modern materials.
My hope is to inspire you to reconsider the value of your waste whilst creating beautiful, sustainable pieces which will bring you joy as you wear them.
